Watch the clear, often hilarious, transition from city life—where all your desires are just a phone call or car ride away—shifts virtually overnight to a hard-working lifestyle of daily ranch duties and responsibilities for all inhabitants, friend and foe alike, on their ranch.
From Jaguars to 4x4s, it’s an instant readjustment to a new “home base,” complete with dangerous critters interested in strolling your fenceline and checking out your new living area, whether coyote, fox, skunk, bobcat, or snake. This is the 21st century “Green Acres” with a Duck Dynasty twist, yet all in the genre of Texas!
Coming from a rich, lavish background of posh country clubs and a luxurious life in the big city, this family of four decides to leave everything behind to return to nature, and embrace simplicity. “Only in Iola” follows the story of a mother Shanalee, father Perry, son Braydon, and their beloved dog Sadee Dei, as they decide to abandon their bustling yet stressful city life, and relocate to a remote ranch out in the country. Together, the family deals with adversity and challenges as they embrace change while learning how to work and flourish on their ranch. Until now, their lifestyle has been a life of high-end spas, dinner in lavish 5-star restaurants, and driving luxury cars. But all of that stands to change when the family decides to leave the 11th most populated city in the world, a Texas metropolis, for a quiet and peaceful existence in Iola, Texas.
With a population of only 300 people, to say Iola is small would be a huge understatement. Away from the busy city, Iola seems like the perfect location for some peace and quiet, for a change of pace, and for teaching their young son the true value of nature. However, while Iola may, in many ways, present itself as idyllic, the family is forced to deal with its fair share of living remotely without sommeliers, waiters and the individuals who made their life an easy one. So far, life in the big city meant they had everything they could wish for at their disposal, with everything was just a short car ride away. In Iola, however, there’s no such thing as putting in a quick call to the right people or being at the designated place quickly. Here, the family must learn how to be resilient and strong, just like the people of Iola.
Watch how husband and wife team, Perry and Shanalee, along with their young son, Braydon, go from a large Texas metropolis to the city of Iola, Texas, population of around 300.

Director & Co-Director
We are a couple that are passionate to see businesses, entrepreneurs and CEO's align with their vision using video.
At the end of 2018, I came to the US as a missionary from Namibia, Africa because I believe God had called me to this nation. I met my wife, and after a year of long distance dating, we got married and moved to Kentucky. That led me to start Alignment Media, because of a word that I received from God, calling me for the "alignment of the assignment". I knew that this was not for only my assignment, but to help others align with their assignment as well. I believe the marketplace is my mission field and therefore I serve every client with excellence and honor.
Assistant Director
I am originally from Michigan where I was born and raised until I was 24, when God called my wife and I to move our family to the great state of Texas. Jesus has given me a passion to see heaven come to earth through His people. I am honored to be able to help others fulfill that call on their lives through video. It has been a blessing to be a part of sharing “Only in Iola” with the world. It is a much needed message of hope and joy in this generation.
